New Year, New You!

2019 is a fresh start, and so many adventures and opportunities await you. So, go ahead and reach out to grab every great thing that comes your way this year!

And while it is an amazing feeling when something great falls right into your lap when you least expect it, putting conscious effort into achieving a goal can leave a much deeper sense of fulfillment. Taking charge of your goals can be both rewarding and empowering, and what better time to create fresh goals for yourself than the start of a new year.

The key to accomplishing New Year’s resolutions is to create goals for yourself that are manageable and timely, but most importantly, desirable. You have to truly want to achieve your goals! So don’t feel like you have to completely overhaul your entire life. No resolution is too small to be personally meaningful.

If you are at a loss about which resolutions to create for yourself in 2019, we have a few ideas to inspire you!

Instead of making a rigorous fitness resolution, resolve to better your health in small ways every day. One of the easiest ways to take care of your health is to get moving. Whether that means stretching for a few minutes each morning or trying out a new workout class, all movement is good movement! Do what makes you feel good.

Regardless of your financial situation, it’s always good to have an idea of where your money is going week to week. Thankfully, there are so many finance tracking apps available to help people get a sense of what they are spending versus saving. If you want to be more active in managing your savings, consider making a resolution to use an app several times a week to stay updated. After all, it never hurts to save!

During the year, do you find yourself getting so busy caring for others that you seldom have time left to spend on yourself? Making time for self-care is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. Make 2019 your year and resolve to set aside time each week to take a break from your To-Do list. Do something you enjoy, like relaxing in a warm bath or curling up to read that new book you’ve been eyeing. Spend some quality time with yourself!

Your relationship with yourself is just as important as your relationships with your loved ones. However, you may not always get to relax and reconnect with your spouse, children, or friends as much as you would like. If this is the case, you could create a resolution to plan special moments for you and your loved ones, free from the distractions of work and technology. Try picking a certain night of the week to reserve for date night, or choose a few afternoons during the month for lunch out with friends. Cherish every moment!

If other New Year’s resolutions sound daunting to you, don’t worry! There are many simple resolutions that are sure to improve your year without taking up much of your time or energy. And luckily for all of us, one of the easiest of all is to just be kind. That’s it! Even a small act of kindness, such as holding the door or giving a compliment, can brighten someone’s day and inspire them to be kind too. An act of kindness is never wasted.

Hopefully, you are as excited about 2019 as we are here at Roberto Coin. It is going to be a great year and we can’t wait to see what it brings. Regardless of the resolutions you choose, we hope your year is filled with love, laughter, and joy. Happy New Year!
